Our summer line entitled Sketchbook is out now, available at select stores and online here.
We’ve been really lucky to do a couple of collaborations with two of our favorite brands Mishka and Manik be sure to check them out and pick them up.
Also, as you may have already known, we went to NYC last week to meet up with the dudes at Mishka and take over the Mishka pop up shop in Brooklyn for a second. While we were there I personally hand painted the entire store freehand to tie in with the Sketchbook theme.

Then when I got back I went straight down to the WInner’s Circle and painted their shop too. Make sure you see these murals because after this month, they’ll more than likely be painted over.

SCIENCE TEACHER BURNS CROSSES INTO STUDENTS ARMS
“Ohio – A Mount Vernon teacher, John Freshwater, burned crosses onto students’ arms, using an electrostatic device, in December.
Freshwater told investigators the marks were X’s, not crosses. But all of the students interviewed in the investigation reported being branded with crosses. The investigation report includes a photo of one student’s arm with a long vertical line and a short horizontal line running through it.
The family of one student who was burned filed a federal lawsuit last week against Freshwater and the district, saying the student’s civil rights were violated.”

MAN VOMITS POISON GAS, MAKES 54 PEOPLE ILL BEFORE DYING.
TOKYO (AP) – A Japanese farmer who committed suicide by drinking pesticide vomited the poison at a hospital before he died, releasing toxic fumes that sickened more than 50 people, the hospital said Thursday.
Doctors were trying to pump the 34-year-old man’s stomach when he threw up, spraying his rescuers with chloropicrin, causing 54 doctors, nurses and patients to develop breathing problems and eye sores.
Ten of them were hospitalized themselves, and 90 hospital personnel had to be called in to help with the emergency Wednesday night, said Tomoko Nagao, spokeswoman for the Red Cross Kumamoto Hospital in southern Japan.
The most severely injured was a 72-year-old pneumonia patient, whose condition worsened after exposure to the fumes, Nagao said. The hospital’s emergency ward was closed and firefighters called in to decontaminate it.
The doctors were not wearing protective gear and were unprepared because the paramedics who brought the farmer to the hospital had not identified the pesticide, said a local police official, speaking on condition of anonymity because of protocol.
The incident came amid a string of suicides in Japan by people mixing household chemicals to create lethal fumes. Many bystanders in recent months have been sickened by fumes that escaped into adjoining rooms, apartments or homes.
Seishi Takamura, a doctor who treated the farmer, said he could not stop coughing after inhaling the fumes, which smelled like chlorine, Kyodo News agency reported.
Chloropicrin is a highly volatile pesticide with a pungent odor that can cause breathing difficulties and sometimes death when inhaled in large amounts.

From Metal Underground: “According to Christian Metal News, a new black metal documentary, entitled Light in Darkness – Nemesis Divina, is currently in the works. However, what separates this documentary from countless others that have explored black metal’s controversial aspects is that the focus is not on the satanic spectra of the genre, but the opposite – the Christian concept of black metal. Producer Stefan Rydehed, who recently finished completed work on the Pure Fucking Mayhem documentary, which focused on the Norwegian black metal band MAYHEM, and David Nilsson have set their sights on the Scandinavian Christian scene, with particular focus on such bands as CRIMSON MOONLIGHT, ADMONISH and FROSTHARDR.
Rydehed comments: “The topic is very interesting because the genre has a major contradiction because it has evolved from the Satanic black metal and there have been death threats, church arsons, murders and so on but never have there been a documentary about the Christian bands and their point of view of the music genre.”“
